unitr ("we", "our", "the app") is a free currency and unit conversion tool designed for travelers. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how the app works.

1. Information We Collect

a) Anonymous Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data to help us improve the app. This includes:

• Conversion modes and units selected
• Countries chosen for home and destination
• Button clicks and navigation events
• App install and onboarding interactions
• Error events (technical details only)

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or precise location. Session recording is disabled. We respect your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting — if enabled, no analytics data is sent.

Analytics data is processed by PostHog on US-based servers. See PostHog's privacy policy for details.

b) Local Storage

Your preferences — including home and destination countries, language, theme, and unit selections — are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

c) Exchange Rate Data

We fetch currency exchange rates from a third-party provider through our own server. Your device requests rates from our API — no personal information is included in these requests.

unitr does not use cookies. Analytics persistence relies on localStorage only.

The app may display links to third-party services (such as Airalo and Wise). If you click these links, you leave unitr and are subject to the third party's privacy policy. We log that a click occurred (partner name only) for analytics — no personal data is shared with affiliate partners.

• Local storage: Persists on your device until you clear your browser's site data
• Analytics: Retained per PostHog's standard data retention policy

6. Children's Privacy

unitr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your Rights

• Clear all local data by clearing your browser's site data for unitr
• Enable Do Not Track in your browser to opt out of analytics
• Contact us to request deletion of any analytics data associated with your device

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
